    On November 5, the Center for American Progress hosted a conversation about the expanding field of social impact investing.  Given severe fiscal constraints, governments are seeking more innovative approaches to delivering better services and getting better outcomes. The field of social impact investing has emerged as a way to forge public-private partnerships in pursuit of shared social goals in areas like community redevelopment, housing, clean energy, and preventive social services.
