Workforce Investment Board of Herkimer, Madison and Oneida Counties, New York (2014 grantee:  $3,000,000) will bridge the gap between workforce and education by using online tools and community outreach to help their targeted population, young college dropouts, reconnect with postsecondary education and training in high growth careers.

Partnering with the workforce system, the college system and employers, coupled with the high-energy outreach and intensive social media presence, this project is expected to lead a greater number of low-skilled individuals who have dropped out of college to re-enroll with a clear career direction.
